Το Τμήμα Τεχνικών και Πολεοδομικών Εφαρμογών έχει την ευθύνη της μελέτης και εκτέλεσης έργων με αυτεπιστασία ή της επίβλεψης μελέτης / εκτέλεσης έργων που ανατίθενται σε τρίτους και που περιλαμβάνουν:
- Την κατασκευή, επισκευή, συντήρηση, διακόσμηση και εξοπλισμό των δημοτικών κτιρίων και εγκαταστάσεων του Δήμου καθώς και γενικά των κτιρίων και εγκαταστάσεων που αναλαμβάνει να κατασκευάσει, επισκευάσει ή συντηρήσει ο Δήμος. Τα εκτελούμενα έργα καλύπτουν εργασίες οικοδομικές (φέρουσες κατασκευές, τοιχοποιία, επιχρίσματα, χρωματισμοί, επιστρώσεις κ.λπ.), ξυλουργικές και μεταλλικές κατασκευές, υδραυλικές εγκαταστάσεις κλπ.
- Έργα οδοποιίας και λοιπά έργα υποδομής (κατασκευές κόμβων και διαβάσεων, γεφυρών, αντιπλημμυρικών έργων, διευθετήσεις και καλύψεις ρεμάτων κ.λπ.).
- Έργα διαμόρφωσης υπαίθριων χώρων (π.χ. πεζόδρομοι, πλατείες, παιδικές χαρές, αθλητικοί χώροι κ.λπ.).
- Εκτέλεση εργασιών σήμανσης και διαγράμμισης οδών (Εγκατάσταση και συντήρηση κάθε είδους πληροφοριακών πινακίδων στην περιοχή του Δήμου, π.χ. πινακίδες ονομασίας οδών και πλατειών, αρίθμησης κτιρίων, παροχής πληροφοριών σε οδηγούς και διερχόμενους, παροχής πληροφοριών σε θέματα του Δήμου, στάσεων συγκοινωνιακών μέσων).
- Ηλεκτρομηχανολογικά έργα και συντήρηση Η/Μ εξοπλισμού.
